Whether you're looking for a way to keep the party going once the Dallas Convention Center closes for the night, hang out with your friends, or make hundreds of new ones, the Fan Expo Dallas Saturday Night Shindig (the official after party) is your destination. With the ever-increasing talent level of cosplayers at FAN EXPO Dallas, we've modified our event showcasing our costumed attendees. We're inviting our cosplayers to have their spotlight moment onstage during the COSPLAY MASQUERADE, hosted by arch nemeses Devin Pike and Ben Ambroso. Sign-ups are limited to the first 100 entrants 13 years of age or older (there will be a separate Kids' Contest). VIEW MASQUERADE DETAILS
The Fan Expo Dallas Kids Costume Contest, for those 11 and under will be held in Room C142 on Sunday at 1:00 pm, with signups beginning at 12:30 pm. Hilary Thomas and Taylor Elizabeth, Resident Fangirls at Boomstick Comics, will be the emcees. All entrants will receive a Participant’s ribbon, and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
The Fan Expo Dallas Cosplay Red Carpet returns at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 30. The skill and craftsmanship of dozens of Cosplayers from across North Texas and around the country are on display, in a red carpet format worthy of their time and creativity.
All photographers - both professional and those shooting with their smartphones - are welcomed to line up for the best shot possible during the managed event. Cosplayers will begin lining up at 2:45 pm in the A/B Lobby Area, and the Carpet runs until 4:00 pm.
FXD Cosplay Hideaway provides an area to repair an element of your costume, or simply a place to sit for 15 minutes and recharge your batteries (literally and/or figuratively). Located in Meeting Room C146, the Lounge gives you the space you need.
Most importantly: it's a paparazzi-free zone. If you need a break from the posing, the Lounge is just the place to get that breather you deserve, or the food you need to hit the show floor running.

The 501st Legion is one of the greatest fan organizations in the world, and fortunately Fan Expo Dallas is one of the biggest events of the year for them. The Stormtroopers provide a spectacle for the eye every year with an elaborate booth, and all kinds of photo opportunities throughout the weekend. For a donation to the Make A Wish Foundation, you can also "Blast A Stormtrooper" in their onsite Nerf gun range!

Alamo Drafthouse Presents: Ghostbusters screening – There’s something strange in our neighborhood, and we know just who to call. Come watch the comedy classic, hosted by the fine folks at the Alamo Drafthouse, and with an introduction by none other than Ernie Hudson. Sure, you’ve probably seen it before, but there’s nothing like watching it in a room filled with fellow fans. This is gonna be fun.
One of the craziest vehicles in movie history Ecto-1, sometimes called the Ectomobile, is the car the carried the Ghostbusters all over NYC. On display all weekend for photos.
Come and see the Mach Five racing car from Speed Racer, one of the most iconic vehicles from the anime series of the same name (but it is known as "Mach Go! Go! Go!" in Japan). This is a full size replica of the car that appeared in the original 1967 series, that you can take a picture with. The 'M' written on its hood, does not stand for "Mach 5", but instead stands for "Mifune", both the character of Go's last name, and the name of his father's motor company.
When you here the title “Jurassic Park” the first word you probably think of is… JEEP! Which is great because we have a 1992 Wrangler Sahara YJ on display for your viewing pleasure. Painted with the red diagonal stripe of course to prevent any Triceratops from charging at it.
Whether you're going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters or just wasting time with your friends, the X-34 Landspeeder is for you. They might not be in demand since the XP-38 came out, but it's still a lot of fun as a backdrop for taking pictures. On display on the Exhibit floor all weekend!

Fan Expo Dallas has something for everyone, all ages and interests! Meet us in the Kid’s Lounge where you’ll get to dress up as a Superhero, show off your coloring skills, and maybe even meet Groot! Families are invited to drop in with their children 12 years old or younger. This area is not a childcare service, parents must stay with their children for the duration of the activities.
