ANIME ATTRACTIONS

TALES FROM THE HOKAGE: MAILE FLANAGAN Q&A

Meet the voice of the Seventh Hokage - Naruto! Ask about her work on the epic anime Naruto/Naruto Shippuden that ran for hundreds of episodes… and her work on the Boruto movie and (possibly) on the forthcoming series.

WOMAN IN VOICE ACTING Q&A

Meet the amazing women voice actors from your favorite anime and video games. An All-Star line up of our guests will answer your questions in this epic round table. From voicing bad ass girls to tsunderes, yanderes, creatures and yes, even boys- these women have some incredible stories to tell.

THE WAY THINGS ARE (OR THE TRUTH ACCORDING TO ERIC VALE)

Have you ever asked a question and felt like you weren’t getting a straight answer? Would you like the answer to your question delivered back without regards for things like political correctness? Then this panel is for you. It's a Q & A as Eric Vale speaks his mind without concern for societal norms or human feelings. Ask him whatever you want. You have been warned.

YURI!!! ON ICE VOICE ACTORS PANEL

Join Josh Grelle (Yuri Katsuki), Trina Nishimura (Kenjiro Minami), and Colleen Clinkenbeard (Minako) for this Q&A about the anime voted “Anime of the Year” at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival AND Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards: Yuri!!! On Ice.

DARE! THE TRANSFORMERS PANEL ULTIMATE

Join us for a history lesson and fanboy-style analysis of The Transformers franchise. This multimedia panel includes a peek into the (canon) Transformers series that never quite made it to the U.S. and other engaging topics including: “Why Beast Wars sucks. Bayformers - the good, the bad and the evil”; “There were only three episodes of G1 Transformers… like it or not”; “The dumbest Autobot ever”; and “Whether or not Star Saber wet the bed when he was a kid.”

MYSTERY ANIME THEATRE 3000

We love anime! We also love making fun of anime – and so we created Mystery Anime Theater 3000. Like the popular series of a similar name, Wasabi Anime’s personalities watch well know anime films and share their unique brand of commentary and insight. The best part? We only use subtitled anime so the audience can read what’s actually going on. Bio engineered mechs and sailor scouts beware! We’re still fans, but we have so much fun poking fun at you.

VOLTRON: FROM ANIME TO NETFLIX

An overview of the history of Voltron and how the all-new series treats the canon of five unlikely heroes and their flying robot lions who unite to form the megapowerful Voltron and defend the universe from evil!

ANIME GAME SHOW: TABOO

Two teams of four will be battling it out trying to guess as many anime words as possible. Your team leader will provide creative and carefully worded clues to help you and your team guess that anime word. But don't mention unmentionables, or you'll lose the point!

MAID CAFES 101

The Americanization of Japanese Maid Cafes seems to have created a “lost in translation” situation at most anime cons. Less sexy and more sweet, authentic Japanese maid cafes are a unique experience that can only be described as a bombardment of cute. Join the maids from Maid Cafe Mikkusu as they explain the history and charm behind the cafes from Akihabara, Japan!

AMV SHOWCASE

What better way to kick of your convention experience than a room showing videos of your favorite anime put to some great music? Spend the first hour of the new and improved anime track at Fan Expo Dallas watching AMVs!

MY HERO ACADEMIA (EPS 1-4)

[TV-14, Dubbed] Check out the popular anime’s first four episodes BEFORE the official release from Funimation on April 18th! From studio BONES, the creators of Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Eater, comes My Hero Academia, a superhero origin story that soars to the top of the class.

MYSTERY ANIME THEATER 3000

[TV-MA, Subbed] Watch anime with the folks from Wasabi Anime® as they give commentary to the Japanese cartoon goodness (badness?) on the big screen. Audience participation is encouraged. Viewer discretion is advised.

FAIRY TALE VOICE ACTOR Q&A

A *must see* for Fairy Tail fans!  Join Colleen Clinkenbeard, Jamie Marchie, and Todd Haberkorn as they share stories about working one of the most popular anime of all time.

LET’S TALK TITANS! ATTACK ON TITAN VOICE ACTORS PANEL

Voice stars Josh Grelle and Trina Nishimura take questions about their characters in the legendary anime Attack on Titan.

ANIME NAME THAT TUNE

Anime Name That Tune has been a popular convention event long before Wasabi Anime was around, but we’re worked hard to compile and organize hundreds of songs from well known Japanese films and television shows of the animated persuasion. Songs are organized by Easy (“The Sailor Moon Theme” in English) to Medium (“Sailor Moon Sailor Stars Theme” in Japanese) to Hard (“C’est La Vie” from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon in Japanese.) The goal is make sure everyone has a chance when playing the game, not just hardcore Otaku.

LOLITA FASHION ARTISANS

WASABI ANIME EVENTS EVERY HOUR

Started in 2001, Wasabi Anime® is known for hosting innovative anime themed events at conventions big and small. Their unique brand of Japanese pop culture entertainment has been a cornerstone feature at dozens of cons across North America including MegaCon, Fan Expo and many others. Be sure to check out many of the awesome panels and screening that Wasabi Anime® is presenting over the weekend.

FAN EXPO SPEED DATING

When you’re at a pop culture convention you’re surrounded by like-minded people, but sometimes meeting folks can be complicated… but not when you’re in a setting designed just for that.  This is a fun way to quickly meet and get to know some of your fellow fans, and who knows, you might just develop a very important relationship in the process.
